The Lake Ray Roberts Equestrian Trail Association (LRRETA) is a passionate group of horse enthusiasts dedicated to enhancing the horseback riding experience by preserving, maintaining, and improving equestrian trails at Ray Roberts Lake State Park and the Greenbelt Corridor in North Texas. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

Equestrian Trail & Trailheads

The Ray Roberts Equestrian Lake State Park Trail runs from north of Pilot Point to Hwy 380 in Denton, with several trailheads:

  • Jordan Park – FM 1192, Pilot Point

  • Isle Du Bois & Elm Fork – FM 455, Pilot Point

  • Greenbelt (Aubrey) – FM 428, Aubrey

  • Greenbelt (Denton) – Hwy 380, Denton

 

Our Partnerships

LRRETA collaborates with:

  • The Friends of the Greenbelt Organization – A volunteer group dedicated to preserving the Greenbelt, promoting recreation, education, and conservation efforts south of the dam on FM 455 in Pilot Point.

  • Back Country Horsemen of America (BCHA) – A national nonprofit with over 13,000 members, advocating for responsible equestrian use in America's backcountry and wilderness.
