LRRETA’S Shaded Stalls Project: Shelter, Service, Stewardship

The Lake Ray Roberts Equestrian Trail Association (LRRETA) is committed to improving the equestrian trails and facilities at Ray Roberts Lake State Park and the Greenbelt Corridor. Our newly completed shaded stalls project is a key part of this mission, providing shaded, secure spaces for horses to rest. These upgrades enhance both horse welfare and rider convenience, underscoring LRRETA’s dedication to providing safe, horse-friendly, and accessible trail facilities that serve today's riders while preserving the experience for future generations.

Special Thanks to Our Project Leader and Volunteers

This project would not have been possible without the outstanding leadership of our Program Director, Linda Moore. From coordinating with park rangers and contractors to managing finances, documentation, and approvals, Linda carried the project from start to finish with skill, dedication, and a heart fully invested in every detail. Her passion and steady leadership brought this vision to life and inspired everyone involved.

We also extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers: Jamie Erbes, Tim Hitchcock, Louanne Gibson, Averie Moore, Lorrie Gibbs, and Diana Hobbs. We are especially grateful for your generosity in bringing the tools and equipment needed to get the job done, including a skid steer for spreading sand, as well as ladders, gloves, and paint brushes for stall painting. Your hard work and commitment are what made this project a reality. LRRETA is grateful!
