HONOR OUR VETS TRAIL RIDE
Join LRRETA for a special “Honor Our Vets” Trail Ride on Sunday, November 9 — a day to celebrate the bravery and sacrifice of our veterans!
Meet at: Pavilion, Isle du Bois Park
Gathering: 1:30 PM for cookies and Veteran recognition
Ride Out: 2:00 PM from the Bluestem Campground lot
Let’s ride together in gratitude and freedom! Wear your red, white, and blue to show your support for our heroes.
The park is also hosting a Veteran’s Day Ruck March at Greenbelt 428 on Saturday, November 8. A Ruck March is a military-style walk where participants carry backpacks, symbolizing the load our service members bear and honoring their strength and sacrifice. All fees will be waived for Ruck participants.
Thanks to new legislation, Veterans and Active-Duty Military can now receive free Parkland Passes for year-round entry. Veterans Day weekend is a great time to highlight these opportunities. Please help spread the word and encourage folks to sign up at the park's HQ for their Veteran, Disabled Veteran, Active Duty, or Gold Star Family Parkland Passes.
