About the Event
Join LRRETA for a fun and relaxing weekend of trail riding, camping, and lake activities from August 8–10 (Friday through Sunday) at Platter Flats Equestrian Campground https://maps.app.goo.gl/8BaPXm6tZLAqb21L9. LRRETA has pre-reserved some shaded electric campsites, and horse stalls are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. You are also welcome to bring your own corral.
The weekend kicks off with check-in at 6:00pm on Friday, followed by a twilight ride at 7:30pm as the full moon rises at 8:15pm.
Saturday’s activities begin with a 9:30am ride (be sure to pack a lunch), and after returning to camp, participants can enjoy a refreshing swim with their horses. Saturday evening features a grilled dinner hosted by LRRETA with beef, turkey, and black bean burgers, brats, and all the fixings. Guests are encouraged to bring potluck sides and desserts.
Another morning ride is planned for Sunday at 9:30am, followed by a final swim before checking out by 4:00pm. LRRETA will also provide complimentary coffee and muffins on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Do not miss this one-of-a-kind weekend escape—where the trails are scenic, the lake is refreshing, and the company feels like family. From full moon nights to lakeside laughs and delicious campfire meals, it is more than just a getaway, it is a memory-making experience you and your horse will treasure.
If you can't camp with us, feel free to come join us for the ride and swim either Saturday or Sunday. Please still register so we know you're coming!

LRRETA has pre-reserved a group of sites together near the trailhead. Each site has electric and water. Horse Stalls are first come, first served. Price includes Friday and Saturday night stays. Check-in time is 6pm Friday. Check-out time is 4pm Sunday.
