NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY
Preserve Horse and Hiking Trails for our Future

help us reach our $10,000 goal
The Lake Ray Roberts Equestrian Trails Association (LRRETA), part of the Greenbelt Alliance nonprofit, is powered by 80 passionate volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to maintaining 25 miles of horse, hiking, and biking trails at Lake Ray Roberts and the Denton County Greenbelt.
For over 12 years, LRRETA has worked together with Texas Parks and Wildlife, securing over $500,000 in grants to make lasting improvements for all trail users. Together, we’ve achieved:
-
New horse stalls, a large round pen, and electric hookups at Bluestem Equestrian Camp
-
Wheelchair-accessible mounting ramps at trailheads
-
An elevated walkway that allows all users to cross a dangerous ravine
-
Ongoing repair of flood and tornado damage to keep trails safe and open
-
Bags to Benches: 27,000 pounds of recycled plastic turned into 12 benches across North Texas parks
But our work doesn’t stop here . . .
With your support, we can ensure that future generations of equestrians, hikers, and bikers have safe, natural trails to explore and enjoy in beautiful North Texas.
